he cost of making calls, texting, and getting online when on holiday abroad has just dropped after Europe challenged mobile operators making rip off charges to their customers.
As of 15th June roaming charges will end meaning Brits on holiday will be able to use their inclusive mobile phone allowances in the EU at no extra cost.
Labour MEPs have consistently supported cutting roaming charges, and helped to secure cheaper mobile phone bills for holidaymakers and those travelling in the EU for work.
Alex Mayer MEP said: “Ditching these roaming charges just in time for the summer holidays is great. Now holidaymakers can talk to friends, text, and share holiday snaps for less.”
